US needs broadband competiton

From my post from last night, It’s about time: U.S. almost gets serious about broadband buildout

What I want is more intelligent policy to help build more fiber, easier Wi-Fi deployments and most importantly – competition – a lot of competition.

  1. Overdue. Don’t live in the heart of a megalopolis? There is zero competition.

I live 10 miles from our state capitol. I get to choose from overpriced Comcast with wildly unstable broadband – and DSL at crap speeds from Centurylink. That’s everything this side of dial-up.
