Fog
I simply love waking up to fog enveloping the city of San Francisco. Somehow it mutes the sounds of the city enough to make you feel that you are someplace else.

Agreed. it makes the city more human as well.
… and you know the fog is going to burn away during the next few hours. So there’s always this sense of expectation, hope, improvement — every day. Makes me a happy person!
