Last.fm, a division of CBS (s cbs), has launched a mobile version of its social music service for Google’s (s GOOG) Android platform. (Download it here.) I am trying it out, and so far, no surprises. It offers functionality similar to that of the iPhone version (which I love.) The only difference: T-Mobile’s 3G network, which delivers a much smoother performance, at least in San Francisco.

Thanks for the write-up Om.
The app is available on the phone now and should be up on market.android.com very soon.
Will this be available on Palm Pre?
@Dee I am pretty sure it is going to be. Looks like they are being super aggressive when it comes to offering their service.
Last.fm in Italy is only for payement!! 🙁
