Roadmap 2014 is a wrap. Katie (my co-chair) and I are grateful for all the generous support from our speakers, our backstage team, our editorial colleagues and most importantly all our attendees. Vue: When Issey Miyake Met Yves Béhar

Earlier this week, I found this super cool watch designed by designer Yves Béhar (who spoke at our Mobilize 2010 conference) for Japanese fashion designer, Issey Miyake.  It is called Vue.

When designing the VUE watch, Behar had one question in mind: “Why do I need to see all twelve numbers when only one is needed?” As a result, the VUE clearly displays one hour at a time, gradually fading the previous hour from view as the next fades in. The watch’s innovative construction features a glass lens that wraps around the side of the watch case before joining the stainless steel chassis, giving the watch a unique profile.

When it comes to watches, I am not a modernist, but this design is pretty cool and minimalist. I don’t care much for the white one, but the black version of the watch is pretty cool. I think the steel bracelet looks pretty cool too, though I prefer the leather straps. It is about $485 in most of the world except UK. Continue reading “Vue: When Issey Miyake Met Yves Béhar”
