Reinstall XP, Remove Vista

I am trying to figure out how to remove Vista and reinstall XP. I have a Thinkpad T60 (widescreen) but I apparently reformatted the hard disk during the process, thereby deleting the vital program that would allow me to do restore from Lenovo’s online support service. Suggestions?
