Week 7, Project 365(+1) Recap

Alaska is my favorite of all the states in the United States, especially when it comes to photography. It is also the place where I find my zen. It throws up amazing opportunities to photograph the ever-changing landscapes. And more importantly, it is where I am acutely aware of my nothingness in the vastness of the universe.

As humans, we look at the world as if we are the most important, the pivot around which everything revolves. This allows us to experience various emotions — happiness, anger, and sadness. The deadly tentacles of social media only reinforce our self-importance and belief that we are the start, the middle, and the end of it all.

When you arrive in Alaska, it doesn’t take very long for you to start to find a sense of calm that is hard to describe, but so easy to experience. And that is the feeling I want to convey through my photos.

If you have any desire to buy one of these prints, you can order them from the 366 Project page.
