Thanks

A whole cacophony of emotions go through our mind when a journey ends and a new one starts. Yesterday, turned out to be a raging firestorm of feelings — a little sadness and a little excitement. But  throughout the day, I was blown away by the generosity of folks who gave me the blessings I would need to move forward into an unknown future. I am humbled by thousands of tweets, Facebook messages and emails — never having realized that a reporter leaving was worth news. Thank you everyone who sent their good wishes and apologies for not writing back to each one of you. Thank you Kara Swisher and my friends at Techcrunch who took note of my exit on their publications.

  1. Om, you wrote ” never having realized that a reporter leaving was worth news.” Well, you weren’t just ‘a’ reporter, you were a Cronkite of business journalism. Your retirement from journalism will leave an emptiness not soon filled.

Thanks for the kind words, but when I look around, I see a whole range of writers who are engaging us every day. I am hopeful about them and what they create.

  2. I think it’s wonderful that after such hard-won success you will now have the opportunity to “pay it back” in the form of venture funding new startups. Exciting times ahead!

  3. That being said…The best to you and I hope you are equally successful in investing. Please don’t stop doing this blog though-I love picking through your reading list 🙂
