An elephant sized health care plan
Finally, the Kerala’s socialist government is cutting some slack to hardworking Indian elephants. If they’re lucky they can enjoy a few years of “good food, healthcare and living conditions” after their retirement at age 65. Unfortunately for those employed by circuses, the regulation only applies to elephants that are state employees. Socialism does have its upside if you are an elephant. [Via Employees.Org]
