Rohinton Mistry’s new novel has been sold “again to Sonny Mehta at Knopf, for publication in 2006, by Bruce Westwood at Westwood Creative Artists (US). UK rights, again to Stephan Page at Faber & Faber, by Derek Johns at A P Watt on behalf of Westwood.” We don’t have any more details but will keep you posted. We are already waiting for this one, given that A Fine Balance was perhaps the best book by any writer of South Asian origin. And it should be a good lesson for wannabes like Pankaj Mishra to stop writing fiction. They are not good enough! Here is a rather interesting profile of the man
