Tom Bevans over at RealClear Politics has a nice overview of two Indian-American candidates for political office– Bobby Jindal and Dr. Chirinjeev Kathuria. [ via niraj]

In case you do not know Kathuria, he is running last in the Senate race in Illinois. He is also the guy who helped send Dennis Tito up to the space in a Soviet rocket. Anyway he has made some wild claims on his resume, which Chicago Tribune thinks are padded.

Actually, the Tribune asserts that aside from Dr. Kathuria’s academic accomplishments, almost everything else on his resume is “highly embellished”. The Trib also reports that Kathuria is not and has never been registered to vote. All in all, it’s a pretty damning piece.
