In case you have not noticed, but New York magazine, not the city, has been snapped up by Bruce Wasserstein of Wasserstein Perella Group for $55 million. And an un-NRI or as we like to call them, Not Really Indian, Anup Bagaria is going to run the show.

From today’s New York Times

bq. He decided to pursue New York as soon as Primedia put it on the market in September, at the urging of Anup Bagaria, a banker who joined the Wasserstein Perella Group in 1993 and oversees media investments. (Mr. Bagaria will become the chief executive of the holding company that runs New York magazine.)
