Just kidding but still one must applaud Jay Chandrashekar who wrote, directed and acted in the movie Super Troopers for his new film, Club Dread . He co-wrote, directed and acts in this as well.

bq. It’s a fantasy come to life. You’ve got this island where a new boatload of young, fun, horny people comes every week and the drinks are flowing and everybody’s happy. It’s the last place in the world you’d ever want to leave . . . but only until people start getting murdered, and then it becomes the first place you want to get off of. We saw this great contrast – you have the best place in the world to be and yet you want to get the hell out of there as quickly as possible – and we knew a lot of crazy things could happen around it.”

Variety had named him one of 10 Directors to Watch in 2001, and Club Dread is his third film. His previous film, Super Troopers, was featured as a midnight screening at the 2001 Sundance Film Festival, and went on to earn more than $18 million at the box office, according to Club Dread website. Chandrasekhar’s directorial feature film debut, Puddle Cruiser, was the winner of the Hamptons International Film Festival Grand Prize for Best Film and screened at the Sundance, London International and South by Southwest film festivals. Chandrasekhar recently directed episodes of Fox’s critically acclaimed hits, “Undeclared” and “Arrested Devolopment.” He has also directed several commercials for both Coca-Cola and Nike.

This movie from the trailer at least looks like a hoot. Here have a look – remember you need QuickTime to see the video. Link Tip: TurbanHead
