Reddit got bought, and with that the startup support program has ended. I have other reasons, but not for public consumption. The alien has been replaced by StumbleUpon, which in my opinion is the single best waste of time.
It is as addictive as a television remote control. Flip channels, and actually find something new and interesting. Of course, they drive ton of traffic, which Reddit never did. Time to Stumble
I really like these guys and their story. They totally rule their weird little sector, and do so using all sorts of novel technologies they’ve been building and refining for years. They’re not media darlings, but in the era of Valleywag, that’s probably a good thing, especially since they have a ton of users anyway.
