My buddy Pip Coburn followed up with an email after reading my post on mediocrity. He urged me to start a series called, Got Excellence. I thought it was a wonderful idea. I will write about technology excellence on GigaOM, but on occasion I will recognize some things that deserve pat on the back. Hence, the Got Excellence Awards. Pip this pilots of US Airways light that landed in Hudson River in New York without any loss of life. I second that. (more on that over on OneRiot.) Another winner: Gina Trapani, the outgoing editor of Lifehacker, the single most important blog in my blog reader. To her, I say: job well done. Please don’t be a stranger to the Inner-webs!
