My colleague Kevin Tofel thinks that legendary coach Bill Bowerman was the Steve Jobs of his time and his industry. Not only did he changed track and fields business, his relentless focus on improving sporting performance led him to develop ultralight footwear and new track surfaces.

This focus became the underpinning of the the Nike empire. Upon watching this documentary about him, I agree. However, in this video I found three lessons that every founder should know and adhere to. They are simple, yet profound in their impact.
