This has been something I have always wanted to own but never had enough room in my apartment. Some day I might actually get my wish. Anyway if you are a creator, you need to see the second video below that was released around the time the chair was launched about 56 years ago.

Charles Eames talks about how not being forced by fashion and essentially setting his own fashion trend was the way to approach the market. I suppose the continuing sales of the chair half a century later are just a testimony to that kind of thinking.
