When I was reading this comment by Mickey Drexler, it reminded me of one Steve Jobs and The Apple Way. I personally am a big fan of Mr. Drexler and he is on my bucket list of CEO’s to interview. (Anyone ready to make introductions?) For those of who don’t know, he was the chief executive at The Gap before being fired. And he now runs J. Crew, one of the hottest fashion brands/retailers in the USA. As I said, he reminds me of Jobs.

“The customer can tell you a lot. They can give you feedback on fit and specs on operational issues even, but they can’t tell you what’s coming down the road. For that, you are always listening and learning, but when it comes to the fashion part, it’s having a certain creativity; it’s getting a sense of how the world changes.” J. Crew CEO Mickey Drexler in a conversation with The Wall Street Journal.
