Update: Today on October 14, I have finally set up the iCloud. Thank god I got through before the iPhone 4S madness.

I have not had so much trouble with a software update from Apple. Ever. So far, post update?

1. iOS 5.0 nuked all the apps from the iPhone 4.
2. It is not letting me restore from back-up.
3. The Mobile Me to iCloud move needs a computer. Er. isn’t cloud supposed to free us from the desktop?
4. It has been almost six hours and iCloud is not letting me do anything and suggesting that I keep using MobileMe. Seriously! That’s the best advice you got for me! Nevertheless it is not exactly an endorsement of Apple’s cloud capabilities.
