A friend recently introduced me to Sneha Khanwalkar’s music. She is an avant garde music director from India who has an unusual approach to making music. She is well known for making soundtracks for two movies Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye and Gangs of Wasseypur. She is a singer and a composer. Sneha is currently hosting a series on MTV India where she goes to various parts of India, records local sounds and turns them into tracks. I fell in love with this song of hers called Tung Tung. It is brilliant and captures the essence of Punjab so perfectly.
