Experience is design and no airline exemplifies that better than Virgin America, which is by far the coolest airline in the US. This new safety video only reinforces my argument, that when as a brand you know your story and can translate that narrative into your products and services, you find that you have happy and loyal customers.
Directed by Hollywood director Jon M. Chu, the video’s dancers, singers and choreographers include alum from American Idol and So You Think You Can Dance. ” the airline is giving travelers the opportunity to be cast in a future version of the Safety Video shown on flights nationwide by submitting their own freestyle “#VXsafetydance” moves via Instagram video! Now only if airplanes had that much legroom in economy class! Experience design is the theme of my Roadmap conference (November 5/6 in San Francisco.)
It was amazing……….♥☺♥
USA! I love Virgin America such a great airline. Ironically on a few of the M.E. airlines, have a cartoon explanations. It’s a great way to generate interest and reinvent a boring but necessary part of flying.
What’s not to love. The Purple colored lighting is all I need 😉
cool in-flight safety reminder
Just discovered your blog and loving every bit of it.
Air New Zealand did another interesting one. They took a more outdoor approach… hilarious xD
Virgin America flight safety video is brilliant! It’s the best safety video I have seen in my experience of travels!

More from the front lines in the ever-escalating war of in-flight safety videos. Just how far can they go?
