I don’t know how or why, but I have started to spend much less time on devices on the weekend, starting on Friday afternoons. The only time I actually miss my iPhone on the weekend is when I need to call an Uber. I wish the company had a way for me to text it from my plain old flip phone so I could leave the big iPhone 6+ at home. Unfortunately, that isn’t the case, and convenience trumps the desire to leave screens behind. If Uber did build a way to order the service via SMS, then It could also help Uber open up a larger segment of the market in countries like India, where people still use the more traditional 2g phones. #justsaying
