A few weeks ago, I got a chance to go up on the roof of the only high-rise buildings in the Mission District in San Francisco to enjoy the sunset. It was a beautiful evening – setting sun, perfect pinks, some fog, and a less hectic city. But what stood out for me was the change in the area down below.

The Mission District has a deep and rich history. It has been an area of change and constant gentrification. This change has accelerated in recent years, partly due to the technology boom.

I usually leave home with my Ricoh GR3 in my jacket pocket. I ended up taking a few photographs to capture the splendor of San Francisco. Here are some of the moments I captured that evening.
