Deer in the mist

I recently spent a weekend in an Airbnb in a North California beach town. I enjoyed the beautiful sunsets and tranquil days. But what I loved the most was taking a walk every morning — submerged in a marine layer that sat on the town like a blanket. And on my daily walks, this family of deer always said: good morning.
