Framed

Glass, the photo community that forms a significant part of my online visual presence, announces a monthly theme. This encourages members to upload entries interpreting the theme in their own way. For November, the chosen theme was ‘Framed.’

November’s Monthly Category is Framed! Suggested by Shloime, a wonderful NYC Street photographer that you need to follow, Framed is an oft-used photographic device. Using the world around you to frame your subjects, you add layers and depth to your photographs. Framed goes hand-in-hand with Shadow and Reflection too. Can’t wait to see all your Framed photos this month.

I usually participate actively in these monthly contests. However, my enthusiasm was notably higher this month. This was because I had the opportunity to share photos that had been languishing on my storage drives, as they didn’t quite align with my typical landscape photography style. This collection includes a mix of what I regard as Street Photography, Urban Landscapes, and several photos that can’t be uncategorized.

I really enjoyed my time on Glass this month, and here are a few of the photos I shared. For the rest, you can visit Glass.Photo/om

  1. The black and white photos are outstanding! Perfect for a cold gray late fall afternoon in Northern California.
