A New Year. A New 365 “Photo” Project.

For last year’s words belong to last year’s language, and next year’s words await another voice. And to make an end is to make a beginning.

T. S. Eliot

First of all, I wish you all a very Happy New Year!

I hope this year proves to be an educational and inspiring one, motivating you to lead a more intentional life.

I am looking at the new year, with much optimism and excitement. Despite the dark clouds that seem to loom over humanity, I remain optimistic that we will find a way forward for the better. Fred Wilson, co-founder of Union Square Ventures (USV), predicts brighter times for markets, investing, and innovation.

Another good friend of mine, former hedge fund manager and analyst Andy Kessler, also believes we are on the brink of change and shares this optimism. In his Wall Street Journal column, he notes, “Out of the depths of the inflation-riddled ’70s came the democratization of computing and finance. It feels to me as if we’re at a similar point.” My good friend Howard Lindzon, with his characteristic aplomb, envisions 2024 as a Festivus of optimism.

So with much optimism, I am undertaking a new creative endeavor.

I have been inspired to undertake a ‘365’ photography project. While it’s unlikely that I’ll venture out for photography every single day, I do promise to release many of the images currently stored on my computer’s drives. Hopefully, this project will motivate me to get out there more frequently and return to my photographic happy place.

If you’d like to follow along, I am sharing these images on my Glass account. Additionally, every weekend, I will compile all seven photos and distribute them through my email newsletter. If you haven’t subscribed yet, you can sign up here.

Stay Optimistic!
