Well, the summer is over and it is time for everyone to go back to school. As the U.S. takes one long weekend before getting back to work in earnest, I wanted to offer you a list of stories that will make for good reading.
- Hugh Laurie’s Los Angeles: He played the role of Dr. House, probably one of my most favorite characters on American television. He talks about Los Angeles and why he loves it.
- Punjabi Sikh-Mexican American community fading into history. This is one part of the American mosaic not many even know about it.
- Bullshit jobs. Do I need to add anything? Just read it.
- Metadata: What is it good for? Depends on who you ask.
- Do you know where you’ll be 285 days from now at 2 pm? These data masters do. What our past locations can tell us about where we will be in the future.

In northern NM you can still get chicken curry enchiladas. The largest community of ethnically diverse Sikhs in the world resides outside Espanola and Sikh businesses and Sikh influence in politics is common. 🙂
