Apparently, small ISPs and rural telcos love Google Apps

Google (s GOOG) Apps might not have many takers amongst the big boys of business, but the company is finding success with small and rural telecoms and Internet service providers which, in turn, are offering Google Apps to their customers. NeoNova Network Services, a Research Triangle Park, N.C.-based managed broadband services company says (pdf link) it has signed-up 16 small/rural telecoms for Google Apps so far this year, and another dozen will sign-up for the platform.

These phone companies are based in Arizona, California, Florida, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Texas, and Ohio. This isn’t the first time Google Apps has teamed up with a service provider; In 2007, Google teamed up with satellite provider Wildblue, which in turn re-branded and offered Google Apps to its customers.
