My column from Business 2.0 on vertical search engines, published in the January 2007 edition is finally online.
Lot of talk about Jobster, Zillow and Trulia, but the focus of the story is Mobissimo, a travel search that does really find cheap tickets for you. It was a great untold story, profitable and rather simple in its objectives.

Enjoy!
how about CavengerNews.com? It’s my favorite place for news
Hmm, I searched Mobissimo for flights from Kansas City to Toronto and received:
“Your query returned no results. Please try your query again with different dates or airports.”
Good thing I already had it booked through Expedia.
Wouldn’t it be nice if there was a site that did something even bigger than Trulia.com??? Lets say a site that searches all types of real estate (commercial and residential MLS listings, foreclosure listings, classified listings, fsbo listings, auction listings and HUD listings).??? Wow, how cool would that be. It would be such a great tool for those trying to navigate through 100 sites to narrow down their search for real estate.
The revolution is near!!! October 15, 2007.
