ARS Technica: US Court of Appeals in Washington DC. The court upheld a District Court ruling that the BlackBerry infringed on patents owned by holding company NTP, but reversed the lower court’s injunction against RIM selling BlackBerrys in the US. In other words NTP is going to end up getting a boat load of dollars from RIM, and perhaps working out a really lucrative royalty agreement. Still, this does cloud RIM a bit!
