BellSouth adds 205,000 DSL subscribers in 3Q 2005. In sharp contrast with SBC, 60% of BellSouth’s new customers are coming from higher-priced 1.5-Mbit/s to 3.0-Mbit/s lines. The company now has 2.7 million DSL customers. BellSouth says its getting about 12 Mbit/s with ADSL2+ without bonding and hopes to deploy ADSl2 in 2006.
No news on their WiMax trials? Looks like it will never get out of the trial stage.
Om, the news article contrasts BLS with SBC, but I could not get the SBC breakdown of their DSL product mix. How do VZ and SBC stack up against BLS when it comes to ADSL/VDSL customers ?
