More Broadband over powerline FUD, this time from the dubious and notorious New Millennium Research Council, a Washington, D.C.-based lobby and policy group. They have yet to show me anything I have not heard before. The believe that broadband over powerlines will be an alternative to high-speed Internet connections via cable and DSL. Except most of the places they have trialed this technology, it has not worked or has been sub optimum. That doesn’t stop Barry Goodstadt, vice president and senior consultant for Harris Interactive, to predict that it “would reach 13 million households and present a $4.5 million revenue opportunity over the next three to five years.”
” . . . and present a $4.5 million revenue opportunity over the next three to five years.â?
I know this is a typo, as it was meant to be billion, but it is more likely as written.
