France Telecom’s Orange has 1 million UMTS/EDGE users
France Telecom’s Orange says it has One Million UMTS/EDGE users. In 2005, Orange customers had 22.3 million video/TV sessions from their phones, and made 1.2 mln video phone calls over past year.
Only 1 million users is pretty pathetic considering that this service is what 3 years old? I guess with 20 Mbps symetrical DSL for < 15E/month 100-300 kbps mobile doesn’t seem that compelling.
