Gartner touts NGN, runs out of cool acronyms

Gartners Group is talking about some thing they are unimaginatively calling NGN – next generation network. “NGN will unify three networks — public switched telephone, Internet and wireless — and will focus on the customisation of communications services purchased at individual subscriber level on the enterprise and/or the consumer side,” Gartner tells NewsFactor. Wait a minute isn’t this what people have been talking about all these years. Gartner is *boldly* predicting that this could happen in next two years. And Al Gore will win the elections.
