Is this a digital music mea culpa from Microsoft?

Wall Street Journal has a big piece on how Microsoft is betting wunderkid Robbie Bach will help revive company’s digital music fortunes. “I do think that we should have pushed – could have pushed – harder on our device integration sooner… We won’t make that mistake again,” Steve Ballmer, Microsoft CEO told the Journal. Is this a mea-culpa? Also is it me or anyone else wondering about how thin Microsoft’s (management) bench is? What happens if X-Box melts down? Or what if IPTV-problems persist! via Billboard PostPlay
