What’s lost in this wonderful humour is how much Kevin Martin has been given a free pass to allow the moribund Bell System to recreate itself — giving Whitacre at ATT a green light to do a drive-by on competition – of course ATT shareholders and the consumer will pay the price for this outcome — just imagine if Whitacre and Martin had spent more time on the web…they might have come up with something useful.
