  1. Windows Media! Well, needless to say, this mac user will be sticking to YouTube. Even though I do have Flip4Mac it’s not as fast UI-wise and flawless as Flash videos are… especially with the Flash 9 UB.

  2. Soapbox autodetects your browser + platform and streams WM for IE/Windows users, but Flash for Firefox/Windows and Firefox+Safari on Mac.

    And Linux?

The Butterfly link refused to play on my Flash-enabled Firefox running on Linux.

Yet another example that Microsoft’s supposed support for interoperability is a farce?

  6. Frank,

When Linux starts spreading beyond the server world im sure Microsoft will start catering to them. They just did it for Apple so its proof that if theres an audience Microsoft will oblige them. Till then who can blame them for not shoving money down the drain?

  7. I’ll be interested to see how Flip4Mac deals with it. There are gaggles of Mac users out there working with video…for streaming, F4M is essential.
