If you have not seen Navjot’s sculptural ensemble at the Talwar Gallery then you should. Perhaps one of the most visually stunning works to come out of India, the indigo blue wood sculptures are of “female figures exude confidence, dynamism and authority in contrast to their leisurely passive male subjects. Carved from solid blocks of teak wood, their iconic presence and resolute gaze is instrumental in subverting the narrative of patriarchal dominance and transcending the modes of art practices.” The exhibit runs through April 5.
