Geekfishing, the blog from Ignition Partners have this to say about Vonage funding: They are doing about $292M in revenue this year and have 90K lines in 2003, 390K lines in 2004 and as of May have 650K lines. That is explosive. The projection is 1.2M lines by year end. Wow! They are so easily impressed … these VCs. VC blogs can help prevent being misquoted, but they can also be a source for group think, and act as an early warning system about what’s to come. Yup, you are going to see more VoIP fundings soon … increasingly speculative. Just like with China, blogging, RSS, moblogging, Podcasting, Brooklyn Bridge …

  1. Om, who told you about my new company Brooklyn-Bridge.com? We specialize in RSS optimized wireless blogging, podcasting, and video enable-VoIP for the Chinese market. Don’t worry, it is no too late to get in on the latest funding round! Once we are fully funding we plan to make an offer on Qwest.

  2. File the patents anyway, then you can sue me even though everyone knows I came up the idea first.
