Monroeville, a suburb of Pittsburgh will soon get a taste of broadband over powerline. Duquesne Broadband, a joint venture of DQE Communications and BPL Global will start trials soon. DQE Communications is a subsidiary of Duquesne Light. Amperion will provide wireless transmitter while rest of the gear will come from BPL Global.

I think this is something that they keep anouncing every six months, going back a year or two, but never happens.
