Could there be a Powerbook by IBM in the future? Linux World thinks that it could happen – and has a highly speculative and completely doesn’t make too much sense right now type of story. Actually, what they don’t mention is that given IBM’s affection for Linux-at-the-back-end, Apple’s OS-X is a good front end for IBM. Also the company needs to ensure that its PowerPC chip line continues to churn out more chips at higher speeds and at present Apple is the only big-buyers of these monsters.
