Reprise Records, a Warner Bros. label, will begin selling the debut album from rock act Secret Machines online three months before the actual CD release date…
This marks the first time a band has issued a full album in a digital format more than three months in advance of the traditional CD version, according to Reprise, which, of course, is probably not true…
In addition, the Secret Machines digital album will come bundled with a free six song digital sampler (from other artists signed onto the label) at participating digital retailers. If a fan purchases the digital album from the band’s website, they will not only receive the free digital sampler, but a free CD-R on which to burn the music to disc. The CD-R is a limited edition, and will feature exclusive Secret Machines artwork.
