South Cali goes WiFi

The Broadband Daily: The number of cities deploying citywide Wi-Fi networks (or planning them) has risen dramatically in the past year. Cheap hardware and software, impatience with the slow rollout of broadband (whose price remains high) and frustration with the continuing digital divide, are driving city councils to roll out their own networks.
