A very good AP story on four companies trying to develop legitimate busines models in music, using P2P, some of which you’ve read before…among the companies mentioned include Wippit and Playlouder, both UK-based companies; a German company, 4FriendsOnly.com; and Shawn Fanning’s new company SnoCap.
There’s also Altnet, which is taking advantage of peer-to-peer technology — but in a way that disturbs many recording companies because it partners with and distributes music through Kazaa.
