In Episode 12 of our show, we chat with Google’s (GOOG) VP of Search Products, Marissa Mayer, talk about acquiring tech startups vs. developing tech in house, Google’s APIs and, of course, the GPhone. Okay maybe not the GPhone. As the Vice President, Search Products & User Experience, she runs Google’s search products: web search, images, groups, news, the Google Toolbar, Google Desktop, Google Labs.
You can also download the show in Quicktime, Windows Media or Xvid formats. Of course you can subscribe it via the iTunes

Om,
Did you see the news this morning that the Chinese Government has allowed Google to provide Free Real Time Quotes while the SEC continues to block the same in the US?! The Google Blog Post on this is quite provacative – http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2007/10/china-in-real-time.html
I have started a petition to try to get the SEC moving on this very important issue – http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/secactnow/
This is an important story that needs to be told.
thanks
I love the show Om, but you have to do something about those socks…
Julio,
You should overlook my occasional lack of taste when it comes to socks…. sometimes you just can’t help it.
thanks for watching. appreciate the feedback of course.
This video would be a lot more useful on YouTube, the Revision3 controls really stink. Rewinding was problematic, as was moving around within the video, like when trying to figure out what Om and Joyce were saying when things were mumbled or garbled.
For hating YouTube’s new initiatives, both of them could do better by actually using the platform.
J. what you should do is download the high quality version and use Quicktime (ahrg), or better VLC media player and play it back locally rather than streaming.
xohm is pronounced “ZOWM”
Phil, thanks for the correct pronunciation. definitely good tip for next time.
J,
I forwarded your feedback to folks over on Revision3.
best
Excellent show. She is smart, articulate and sexy for a tech geek….and is filthy rich.
The only knock on the show is that it is very long. imo
I have been using the EHealthLine System for over three years. EHealthLine’s comprehensive Intergraded Digital Consumer Health Records, overcome interoperability and connectivity between the Provider and Payors issues. EHealthLine’s extensive suite of Healthcare Applications are instantly assessable to the consumers and clinicians, all of whom are granted “secure access” to pertinent medical information, via the internet. Patient satisfaction has increased about 1000 time since the Implementation of the EHealthLine System.
