India’s growing influence in telecommunications industry is reflected in the recent Total Tele World Communications awards. Mukesh Ambani, chief executive of Reliance Infocomm, was declared Most Influential Person in Communications, on votes cast in the WCA online poll. India’s largest GSM carrier, Airtel was voted as Best National Mobile Operator. NTT Communications was the Best Global Carrier.
