VC’s were really nothing more than would-be record executives, but with an actual education, and no sex. The whole process -the pitch, the cash, the accounting, and the distribution of risks, seems to be very closely modeled after the music ….

And perhaps like music business, where ITunes and online music networks have basically turned the business model upside down, VCs are facing a Napster of their own: full disclosure and perhaps that’s why they are fighting it real hard. Jurassic Park anyone?
