Video Calling now on Avaya IP Softphone

EWeek reports that Avaya has announced a new IP Phone with video phone features, which integrates tightly with Polycom’s ViaVideo II camera. The desktop tool now does buddy-list style chat, IP voice or video calls. Avaya’s IP video solution does not perform multipoint conferencing at this stage. Meanwhile XTen upgraded its eyeBeam video phone product as well.
