Totaltele.com is running a poll on who are the most influential people in telecom. The interesting thing is that 5 of the top 10 are non-telecom figures. I am glad to see folks from China, India and Brazil represented in the list. Hey these guys are big buyers so why not. Surprised to see names like Carly Fiorina and her former sidekick who now runs MCI. Can they really be influential in telecom? Poll close mid September – Chambers won it last year. Skype’s Niklas Zennstrom is performing well but the RBOC leaders, despite their buying power are very low indeed. Go ahead and vote. This would be an interesting poll.
