WiFi & Trade Shows

The most frustrating thing about going to a technology oriented trade show is not finding Internet access. The organizers who put together these shows don’t realize that having wifi that works and doesn’t get slammed when 2000 people log-on to the network is not a luxury, it is a necessity. A tech reporter who can’t get his email or send live updates because there is no access? I was having the connectivity problems at Macworld in San Francisco. Despite best efforts I could not log to the network they had set-up for the press. At CES it was the same old story, and its pretty much the same.
