I recall hearing that Nextel would be using Flarion products/technology in the new wireless networks it is designing/rolling out.
Smart antenna technology can be applied to anything (HSDPA, for example). Also, they were using 100MHz. Your not going to find that lying around the propagation friendly part of the spectrum. Basically all Siemens did was demonstarte 802.11n taken to the extreme.
